Stackable Sunbeds

Stackable sunbeds are the working tool of hotel pools and beach clubs in Cyprus: rows can be cleared for the morning clean, stacked under cover for a storm and put away for winter in a fraction of the space. Every lounger in this collection is a Nardi model with a 3-year guarantee, built in resin and designed to stack.

Polypropylene or fiberglass resin

• Mass-coloured polypropylene, as on the Tropico, Eden and Omega, carries colour through the material, so light scratches barely show. It is UV-resistant, does not rust and rinses clean.
• Fiberglass resin on the Plano is stiffer, and its backrest goes fully flat for sunbathing face down.
• Cons of all-resin: a hard surface without fabric gets warm in direct sun, and white shows sunscreen marks until wiped.

Fabric or solid bed

The Tropico and Eden have a one-piece resin bed. The Alfa, Omega and Atlantico stretch breathable fabric over the frame: it stays cooler, dries quickly and can be swapped when worn. The Atlantico's light tubular frame lets the fabric adapt to body weight.

Sizes and weights for staff

Most models are 170 cm long in the upright position and about 195 cm flat, 69-71 cm wide. The Atlantico extends to 204 cm and the Plano to 211 cm for taller guests. Weights run from 13.5 kg (Alfa, Omega) to 16 kg (Atlantico), and all except the Plano have wheels, so one person can move them.

Care by the sea and the pool

Rinse with fresh water after salt spray and chlorine, and remove sunscreen with mild soap. Let fabric loungers dry before stacking so water does not sit between layers. Over winter, store stacks under a roof.
