Nardi Doga Outdoor Chairs & Stools
8Nardi Doga is a stackable range in fiberglass resin with a slatted design; "doga" is Italian for slat: chair, bistro chair, relax chair, bar stool and a low table, with cushions sold separately.
Nardi Doga outdoor furniture
Nardi Doga outdoor furniture is a slatted range by designer Raffaello Galiotto: the Doga armchair, a bistro chair, a low relax chair, a bar stool and a low table, all in UV-treated fiberglass resin and all stackable. It suits cafe terraces, villa patios and pool bars that want a linear, timber-like look in a material that needs no oiling.
The pieces
- Nardi Doga Chair: the Doga armchair, 56.5 × 60 × 83.5 cm, seat 46.5 cm, 5.1 kg.
- Doga Bistrot Chair: armless, 55 × 53 cm, 4.1 kg, for tight cafe rows.
- Doga Relax Chair: a lower 41.5 cm seat and 75 cm width, for lounging.
- Doga Stool: bar height, with the seat at 75 cm.
- Doga Table: 49.5 cm square low table, 2.9 kg.
Cushions are sold separately, for example the Doga Chair Cushion at 43 × 40 × 4.5 cm.
Slatted resin: pros and cons
The slats let rainwater drain and air pass, so the seat dries quickly after a shower. Resin is coloured through, does not rust or rot, and stacks for storage. The trade-off: dust and sand settle in the gaps between slats, so a rinse works better than a cloth, and bare resin feels firm on long sittings, which is where the cushions help.
Care in the Cyprus climate
Hose the chairs down every few weeks in summer and after dusty winds. The cushion fabric (solution-dyed acrylic or Sunbrella) repels water and dirt, resists mould and is washable at 30 °C; keep it dry over winter.
Doga or Net?
Nardi Net uses a perforated pattern instead of slats and adds a lounge chair and a two-seat bench, while Doga keeps a cleaner, linear look. We compare them in Nardi Net vs Doga. For more stacking models, see stackable outdoor chairs or the full Nardi collection.
