Nardi Komodo Modular Outdoor Sofa

Nardi Komodo modular sofa

Nardi Komodo outdoor furniture is a modular lounge system: you pick the pieces and build a sofa to the length of your terrace, straight or with a pouf as a footrest. It suits villa terraces, pool decks and hotel lounges where the layout changes from season to season.

The pieces and their sizes

• Komodo Elemento Centrale: armless middle module, 72 × 78 cm, back 88 cm, 10.9 kg.
• Komodo Elemento Terminale: end module in a left or right version, 72 × 78 cm, 12.6 kg.
• Komodo Poltrona: armchair, 79 cm wide, 14.3 kg, cushion included.
• Komodo Pouf: 72 × 72 cm at the same 47.5 cm seat height as the modules, so it lines up with the sofa.
• Komodo Tavolino and the glass-top version: 70 × 70 × 32.5 cm coffee tables.

The ready Nardi Komodo 5 Sofa is 294 cm wide and weighs 61 kg. Our modular sofa guide shows how to plan a layout.

Resin frame: pros and cons

Komodo frames are polypropylene with fibreglass, coloured through and UV-treated. They do not rust, rot or need painting, and a scratch does not reveal a different colour underneath. The downside is low weight: a 10.9 kg module can shift in a strong wind on an exposed roof terrace, so set the sofa against a wall or a planter. Resin also does not patina like teak; it keeps the same look for years, which some people find less warm.

Care in the Cyprus climate

Rinse the frames with water and mild soap after dusty days and near the sea. Take cushions in during the winter rain and store them only when fully dry. The glass coffee table needs a glass cleaner, the resin one a damp cloth.

Nardi Maximo is larger and deeper, with 96 cm modules and 21 cm seat cushions, for a more relaxed sit. Nardi Net has perforated lounge chairs and a bench. For metal frames with cord, see the aluminium collection; all lounge sets are in outdoor sofas.
