How do I protect outdoor furniture in the Cyprus winter?

Store cushions dry, for example in a box such as the Jersey, and cover the frames of dining and lounge sets with a fitted cover. A PVC-coated cover keeps rain and dust off, but leave some airflow so moisture does not collect underneath.

Are solar lamps bright enough for a terrace?

Solar lanterns give soft mood light rather than reading light. The bamboo lantern runs about 6 hours after an 8-hour charge in sun. For a dining table, add a mains lamp such as the 166 cm Adonis.

Do fiberclay planters survive a summer on a balcony?

Yes. Fiberclay is a compacted mix with glass fibre, sold as all-weather and much lighter than stone or concrete. In full sun the soil dries fast, so larger pots and morning watering help plants through July and August.

Outdoor furniture accessories in Cyprus

This category brings together the pieces that finish an outdoor space and protect the furniture in it: cushions and covers, planters, solar and mains lighting, serving trolleys, storage, rugs and garden decor, plus Nardi spare parts and height kits.

Cushions and covers

Nardi cushions are cut to fit their chairs and loungers. The Net chair cushion is 46.5 x 48.5 x 3.5 cm in acrylic, olefin or Sunbrella, and the Plano sunlounger cushion is 200 x 67 x 6 cm in solution-dyed acrylic, washable at 30C and treated against mould. To protect a whole dining set from dust and winter rain, the furniture cover is 350 x 250 x 100 cm in PVC-coated polyester. See cushions and covers.

Planters for sun and wind

Fiberclay pots are light and weatherproof, so they are easy to move on a balcony: the Sfera Sabbia is 37 cm across, and the Quadratic column stands 120 cm tall. On a south-facing terrace, light colours stay cooler and pots dry out fast in summer, so water early. Browse plant pots.

Lighting

Cyprus sun charges solar lamps well. The bamboo solar lantern gives about 6 hours of light from an 8-hour charge, and the solar lamp set of 3 switches on at dusk. For mains light, the Adonis floor lamp is 166 cm tall in fiberglass and takes a standard bulb. See all lighting.

Trolleys and storage

The Maxwell trolley has a white aluminium frame, HPL top and frosted glass shelf at 91 x 50 x 73 cm. The Jersey storage box is 130 cm long in painted aluminium and keeps cushions dry between uses. More in trolleys.

Rugs, decor and spare parts

The Rhea outdoor rug at 160 x 230 cm fits under a four-seat lounge set; read the outdoor rug guide for sizes. The Kit Cube 80 High raises a Nardi Cube table from 75.5 to 107 cm. Find statues and vases in decor and rugs.
