A pool deck needs sunbeds that are easy to clean and easy to clear away. Four types of sunbed and what each does best

Size and layout around the pool

Most loungers here are 170-207 cm long and 61-76 cm wide; the Piano is the largest at 225 x 92 cm. Plan about 60 cm between beds for a side table and walking room, and keep a clear path along the pool edge. Light resin beds are easier to move into the shade at midday, and wheels help on stone decks.

Shade, side tables and alternatives
